Access Control Officer

Responsibilities - Responsible for monitoring ingress and egress of client facilities by ensuring a positive identification and control through the production, issuance, and verification of identification media. Ensures the proper administrative control and operation of systems designed for the management of property, deliveries, packages and controlled/prohibited items and activities. Operates and maintains various screening devices incidental to personnel and package screening operations. Takes all precautions to protect the health and safety of persons; promptly corrects unsafe conditions, procedures and activities, if possible; and/or notify each client of such conditions so that repairs or corrections can be accomplished. Operates and monitors manual and computer-based access control and other related security systems, databases, and equipment.

Training/Education Required - High school diploma or GED; state Unarmed Security Officer license and American Red Cross First AID/CPR certifications.

Years and Type of Experience Required - At least two years of customer service. Prior security or law enforcement experience, a plus. Must be 21 years of age. Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Additionally he/she must "add value" to remain on the contract. Specifically, adding value requires two elements: security awareness and strong customer service skills.
